As a Digital Loss Adjuster, you will be assigned a range of domestic and commercial losses, working with customers and clients utilising our digital tools to find the best route of settlement for their claim. The role will be home‑based with occasional travel required depending on business needs.
Responsibilities- Proactively handle and settle a mixed caseload of property claims up to £100k; investigate each claim with tact and calmness, establishing facts, policy details and working towards a resolution.
- Build client relationships through management and delivery of SLAs and KPIs, and proactive client and broker interaction to assist in efficient claims handling and business development opportunities.
- Coordinate with colleagues within different business areas such as Casualty, Major & Complex Loss, Contractor Connections and Legal depending on the nature of the claim; ensure the process is thorough, collating and recording all necessary statements and information.
- Remove hurdles in the process, identify root causes, take responsibility for problem resolution and collate all necessary details to ensure swift settlement whenever possible.
- ACII or CILA qualified, or candidates with relevant experience and a commitment to achieving personal qualifications.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of FCA procedures and TCF initiatives.
- Extensive knowledge of the insurance market.
- Understanding of client SLA compliance, productivity and quality requirements.
- Good negotiation skills – arranging appointments, alternative accommodation and explaining information when there is pushback on settlement.
- Empathy for what matters to the customer – putting yourself in their shoes.
- Good IT skills with a keen eye for detail.
