Position: Home Pricing Developer - Radar

Pricing and Underwriting is a complex field where data, geospatial info, and mathematical models meet talented analysts. Our Pricers and Underwriters balance business goals with customer needs, reducing risk and predicting future events to ensure growth and optimal pricing for consumers.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll contribute to the Home Insurance strategy by implementing changes to the Radar rating algorithm accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and monitor the Radar Live rating engine, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Validate comprehensive model testing to ensure all changes are proven.
  • Support process enhancements, including testing, to improve efficiency while maintaining accuracy.
  • Engage with stakeholders and the wider Pricing & Underwriting community through excellent communication skills to ensure alignment.
  • Contribute to Department/DLG-wide objectives, strategies, and priorities.
  • Adhere to Pricing and Underwriting Controls and Governance.
  • Identify and manage risks, communicating issues promptly.
  • Develop your skills to meet current and future business needs.
  • Promote the culture and core values of DLG through appropriate behaviors.
  • Support defect management processes, including diagnosis, testing, and fixes.
  • Our hybrid working model involves at least 2 days in the office per week, depending on role and team.

    What you’ll need

  • Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with SQL, SAS, Python, Tableau (preferred).
  • Experience in the Insurance industry (preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Good IT knowledge.
  • Creativity, passion, inquisitiveness, and innovation.
