Principal Platform Architect – Cloud Transformation (Public Sector)

Location: Remote (with occasional travel to client sites)

Security Clearance: SC required

We are looking for a Principal Platform Architect to lead the delivery of cloud platforms and solutions that drive business transformation and deliver exceptional outcomes for users. This is a senior, hands‑on technical leadership role where you will work on complex, high-impact programmes across the Public Sector, helping to shape the architecture of cloud platforms, modern applications, and web‑based solutions.

• Lead multi-disciplinary agile teams, providing technical guidance and fostering informed decision‑making.
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, establishing architectural principles and strategic direction for platforms.
• Influence the technology landscape through development of blueprints, standards, and innovative solutions.
• Mentor and support colleagues, fostering career growth across the team and wider capability.
• Act as a technology ambassador, contributing to account strategies, customer relationships, and knowledge sharing.

• SC clearance and a desire to work on complex Public Sector programmes.
• Proven experience leading cloud platform delivery (migration, modernisation, web‑based applications).
• Strong track record in making technology decisions that deliver positive customer outcomes.
• Experience building and managing relationships with stakeholders at executive and C‑level.
• Proficiency with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP – IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
• Demonstrated ability to coach and develop team members and peers.
• Experience developing business alongside sales and account managers.
• Managing others, setting objectives, and leading performance reviews.
• Actively contributing to technology communities and sharing insights.
• Experience in steering projects back on track and promoting new products or services.
