We are looking for a Network Engineer to join our growing team of like-minded tech people. Should you choose to accept, your responsibilities will encompass:
- Escalation for the service desk of client issues related to networking.
- Resolve or appropriately escalated monitoring issues for our internal infrastructure.
- Assist with Major Incidents for any customer networks.
- Ensuring customer networks are performing at optimal levels.
- Shadow Senior Networks Engineers to gain understanding of our Core Networks.
- Deliver internal training to other departments as required.
- Mentor engineers to develop skills and knowledge.
Our perfect candidate should have a wealth of knowledge spanning various technologies and be able to use these skills to troubleshoot and deliver five-star solutions that keep our clients happy. RazorblueRequirements
- Full UK driving licence.
- Hold at least one or more network certifications at “Associate” level. (Desirable)
- Experience working with Next Generation Firewalls.
- Experience working with MPLS environments (L2/L3 VPN). (Desirable)
- Extensive experience with Juniper and Cisco routing and switching.
- Experience working with 3rd party suppliers.
- Experience working with complex Wi‑Fi deployments. (Desirable)
- Experience working with Unified Communications. (Desirable)
- Experience with monitoring systems:
Solar Winds, Nagios, PRTG etc. - Experience working with ticket systems and understanding of priorities and SLAs supporting LAN networks.
- Demonstrable change‑management discipline.
- Willingness to participate in an out-of-hours/on‑call rota.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to create technical and user documentation with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Effective diagnostic fault finding and monitoring skills.
- Excellent conversational fluency in English required to clearly explain complex technical issues.
