Working Pattern

Hybrid working - 3 days onsite in Manchester
, 2 days remote once up to speed.

You’ll help build scalable, secure cloud infrastructure that directly supports services improving accessibility and communication nationwide.

The What…

As a Dev Ops Engineer
, you’ll design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring reliability, performance, and security.

Core responsibilities include:
  • Designing and managing AWS environments (EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, VPC, Route
    53, IAM).
  • Implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform (modular, reusable code).
  • Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines via Git Lab CI or Git Hub Actions
    .
  • Containerising applications with Docker
    , managing life cycles via ECS, Fargate, and EKS
    .
  • Administering Ubuntu Linux systems and performing system hardening.
  • Applying networking fundamentals (DNS, VPNs, firewalls, load balancing).
  • Collaborating with development teams to ensure smooth and secure deployments.
What You’ll Bring
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services and Terraform
    .
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools and Git workflows
    .
  • Solid understanding of Docker and container orchestration.
  • Scripting ability in Python, Go, or Bash
    .
  • (Bonus) Familiarity with AWS Security Hub, Guard Duty, Config
    , or Terraform Cloud
    .
