Hybrid working - 3 days onsite in Manchester
, 2 days remote once up to speed.
You’ll help build scalable, secure cloud infrastructure that directly supports services improving accessibility and communication nationwide.
Work with AWS, Terraform, Docker, Git Lab CI/Git Hub Actions, and EKS — with genuine scope to automate, experiment, and influence the platform’s technical direction.

The What…As a Dev Ops Engineer
, you’ll design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring reliability, performance, and security.
- Designing and managing AWS environments (EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, VPC, Route
53, IAM). - Implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform (modular, reusable code).
- Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines via Git Lab CI or Git Hub Actions
. - Containerising applications with Docker
, managing life cycles via ECS, Fargate, and EKS
. - Administering Ubuntu Linux systems and performing system hardening.
- Applying networking fundamentals (DNS, VPNs, firewalls, load balancing).
- Collaborating with development teams to ensure smooth and secure deployments.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services and Terraform
. - Proficiency with CI/CD tools and Git workflows
. - Solid understanding of Docker and container orchestration.
- Scripting ability in Python, Go, or Bash
. - (Bonus) Familiarity with AWS Security Hub, Guard Duty, Config
, or Terraform Cloud
.
