Consultant – Manager, Business Analyst (Functional) Design, Defence & Security

We are looking for a Business Analyst with Defence & Security experience, acceptable to DV level clearance, who can deliver complex projects across technology and transformation.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to capture and document business requirements.
- Conduct detailed analysis of business processes, systems and data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Facilitate workshops and interviews to gather requirements, user stories and use cases.
- Analyse and document business processes, workflows and system interactions to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and user stories for development teams.
- Perform data analysis to identify trends and insights for decision‑making and process improvements.
- Define and implement product‑centric operating models to deliver products efficiently.
- Manage product ownership practices and processes, ensuring products meet customer requirements.
- Conduct impact assessments and feasibility studies to evaluate proposed solutions.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop project plans, timelines and deliverables.
- Support testing and quality assurance activities to ensure solutions meet defined requirements.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role in a project delivery environment.
- Experience working on transformation and complex delivery projects.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to translate complex business needs.
- Proficiency in business analysis techniques such as process modelling, lean practices, use case development.
- Experience with Agile delivery and methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, LeSS).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of analytical tools such as Power
BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense. - Expertise in testing against requirements and ensuring confidence in outputs.
- Experience working within the Public Sector or equivalent.
- Ability to understand, interpret, present and challenge technical/complex information.
- Experience managing scope in challenging environments.
- Experience developing and maintaining strong relationships with business stakeholders.
- Experience with Lean Portfolio Management and associated processes.

Hybrid Working PolicyYou’ll be based in London, Bristol or Manchester with hybrid working. You can work in your local office, virtual collaboration spaces, client sites or remotely, as required.
