** What you’ll be doing
*** Assist in developing and maintaining network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
* Support the configuration and monitoring of security solutions, with a focus on Fortinet, CheckPoint and Cisco technologies.
* Participate in implementing cybersecurity best practices, including patching, vulnerability management, and access control.
* Contribute to infrastructure documentation, ensuring accuracy and clarity for operational processes.
* Collaborate with senior engineers on projects involving network upgrades, security enhancements, and system migrations.
* Monitor system performance and respond to alerts, escalating issues as needed.
* Develop skills in automation and scripting to streamline routine tasks and improve efficiency.##
** The skills and experience you'll need to succeed
**** Required Skills & Experience
*** Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching).
* Familiarity with firewall technologies, preferably Fortinet, CheckPoint and Cisco.
* Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and common threat mitigation techniques.
* Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
** Preferred Qualifications
*** Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Fortinet NSE, or Cisco CCNA.
* Exposure to Windows and Linux server environments.
* Experience with network monitoring tools and basic scripting.##
