Senior Information Manager – STRABAG
Location:
Manchester, England, United Kingdom
- Report project performance and digital delivery adoption to the Head of Information Management.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between project teams, ensuring documentation compliance with industry standards.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external project teams, including maintaining registers and conducting quality audits on Information Management flows.
- Engage in daily activities such as problem solving with framework staff, liaising with external clients, attending client meetings, and providing training, while ensuring compliance with quality standards (BIM ISO 19650).
- Develop and implement procedures for effective information management and create rules for information sharing.
- Establish and manage a functional Common Data Environment (CDE) for clients, defining support requirements.
- Implement advanced features such as built‑in reporting, workflows, and dashboard setups through APIs and automations.
- Oversee, manage, and train project team members in the daily use of CDEs.
- Manage team adherence to regulatory and organisational information requirements and ensure data accuracy and quality within CDEs.
- Monitor and evaluate CDE and electronic data management systems that could affect project reporting.
- Manage all incoming datasets on the client’s behalf and monitor incoming project deliverables against Digital Delivery Plans.
- Continuously develop information management strategies for specific projects, aligning them with the STRABAG Data strategy.
- Liaise with other Information Management teams across the business to drive standardisation, consistency in delivery, and sharing of best practice.
- Experience in developing and implementing internal processes and strategy procedures/documentation.
- Strong decision‑making capabilities and people/workload management skills.
- Excellent organisational, administrative, and planning skills.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to deliver workshops.
- Strong knowledge of BS1192, ISO
19650, and related standards. - Familiarity with MS software packages and basic Power
BI knowledge. - Ability to read data from Office
365 SharePoint sites, lists, and understand forms and automation flows. - Experience handling requests from both internal and external project teams.
- Data‑driven mindset with strong metadata and document organisation skills.
- Knowledge of the UK BIM Framework: BS1192, PAS
1192, ISO 19650, and Government Construction Strategies. - BSI Certified Project or Asset Information Professional and/or OBIM 19650 Certification is an advantage.
