Oversee and provide technical leadership & guidance to the team in developing insurance‑based solutions and delivering them with high quality. The technology landscape includes working with third‑party insurance software for pricing & policy documents along with using .NET Framework, MVC, .NET Core for web development and Web APIs & SOA for system integrations.
Collaborate with Business Relationship Directors, Actuarial, Architecture, Security, Infrastructure teams to design herum build and support applications that deliver the business needs. Focus on a lead developer role with key technical knowledge and hands‑on expertise to drive application design and delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the team in implementing company vision into technical solutions by using modern development practices.
- Plan and document comprehensive technical specifications for system design; play a major role in Ops/IT roadmap development projects either as an individual
Rg or part of the wider team. - Write testable, scalable, and efficient code, leading by example and setting standards for the team.
- Evaluate defined business requirements and processes and develop moderate to complex application solutions.
- Ensure quality of application solutions by performing code review, providing constructive feedback, creating documentation, verifying business logic, performing defect root‑cause analysis, and completing unit and integration testing.
- Assist with high‑level design of solutions; consult with Development Manager/BRD/business analyst/Architect to analyze system requirements, identify associated risks, and resolve problems.
- Research and evaluate new or alternative solutions and recommend the most efficient and cost‑effective solution for systems/program design; develop system specifications and procedures.
- Support implementation of applications into production and testing environments; cooperate with technical personnel to resolve issues and provide 2nd/3rd level support.
- Respond to incoming support requests from Production Support and maintain incident tracking details.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by meeting established development and service standards.
- Create and update policies and procedures to ensure compliance with external regulations and Sarbanes‑Oxley standards.
- Acquire and maintain knowledge of relevant product offerings and policies to provide technically accurate and appropriate solutions to customers.
- Mentor and guide junior team members (including offshore developers).
- Comply with all applicable legal and|= fl regulatory requirements and ensure appropriate compliance measures are in place.
- Stay updated with the latest technologies and drive innovation within the team.
- Broad knowledge of the System Development Life Cycle and alternatives for system and application development.
- Strong knowledge of client area functions and systems.
