Senior Deskside Engineer

This role is with a well-established organisation in the industrial/manufacturing industry. They are a medium-sized company focused on delivering operational excellence and innovative solutions. The team is committed to maintaining high standards in technology support.

• Provide deskside support for IT-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Respond promptly to service requests, troubleshooting hardware and software problems effectively.
• Manage and maintain IT equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Support the installation, configuration, and updates of software and hardware systems.
• Collaborate with the technology department to improve IT support processes and documentation.
• Assist in maintaining IT security protocols and compliance within the organisation.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members and other departments as needed.
• Work on IT projects to enhance system efficiency and user experience.

• Strong working knowledge across the MS Stack including the Windows OS Family, Active Directory (hybrid)
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and system issues.
• Line management or team lead experience
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
• ITIL certification or experience
• Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
• Experience of Service management tools eg Service

• Willingness to learn new skills and technologies
• At least three years of experience in IT support or similar role
• Knowledge of MS Windows operating system, Microsoft Office
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose IT issues and provide solutions
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and quality
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
