Barclay’s Legal is targeting a material Technology transformation, with an aim of unifying fragmented systems and processes into a streamlined, integrated estate. This is essential for supporting the Legal function’s goals of enhancing client and colleague experience, improving compliance, and delivering operational cost efficiency. The scale and complexity of the current and projected book of work demands an effective Legal Technology Change Delivery PM to play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions, focusing on data analysis, process improvement, and stakeholder communication.

Contributing on change projects that help the organization achieve its strategic objectives, while ensuring that activities are delivered on time, within budget, in control and in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.

Accountabilities
  • Drive project delivery:
    Oversee execution across multiple work streams, ensuring milestones are met and benefits realized.
  • Resolve delivery challenges:
    Address issues that have previously delayed in-scope work, minimizing bottlenecks and accelerating progress.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and document clear and detailed business requirements.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions and strategies.
  • Work with the Process Lead and the Legal service teams to develop and document business process models to illustrate current and future states, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Propose and design technical and process solutions that align with business objectives and enhance efficiency.
  • Implementation support:
    Work with Functions Technology and other departments to implement solutions, ensuring they meet business goals and requirements.
  • Communicate findings, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders and executives effectively.
  • Participate in testing and validating new systems and processes to ensure they meet business needs.
  • Identify and analyze business impact and opportunities that require change within the organization.
  • Develop business readiness strategies that will help to ensure the successful implementation of change initiatives.
  • Communicate with stakeholders—including senior management, project teams, and external partners—to keep them informed about change initiatives and ensure needs and expectations are met.
  • Collaborate with Client Readiness, Operational Readiness & Tech Delivery to ensure smooth transition of technology delivery into BAU, covering Target Operating Model, Training, Communications, Service Agreements.
  • Manage resistance to change, engaging stakeholders and addressing concerns.
  • Review business readiness plans and status reports with change delivery managers to ensure activities are completed on time, including risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Align change initiatives with project objectives and integrate change management activities into project plans.
  • Provide guidance and support to business stakeholders, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to implement change initiatives successfully.
  • Contribute or set strategy, drive requirements, make recommendations for change. Plan resources, budgets, and policies; manage and maintain policies/processes; deliver continuous improvements and address breaches of policies/procedures.
  • If managing a team, define jobs and responsibilities, plan for the department’s future needs and operations, counsel employees on performance and contribute to employee pay decisions/changes. Lead specialists to influence operations, balancing short and long-term goals while ensuring budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.
