The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in database platform engineering and a passion for technology. Commitment to delivering high‑quality, scalable solutions is a must. You will have worked hands‑on with MS SQL and Postgre

• Understand the business area to facilitate the best solution design with team members and product owners
• Be environment aware, identify technical impediments / bottlenecks and work directly to resolve
• Be technology agnostic and willing to adapt approach in pursuit of the best solution

• Understand Systems Thinking and Service Design to mitigate reactive solutions that lead to further technical debt

• Expertise in a private cloud environment specialising in one or more of the following technologies:
• Microsoft SQL Server (AAG, SSIS, SSAS, SSIS)
• Powershell
• T-SQL
• PL/pgSQL
• Supporting, managing and designing enterprise systems, including HA/DR solutions
• Agile ways of working
• Designing or contributing to solutions for a Private Cloud Environment
• Backup / Restore and Disaster recovery processes
• Performance Optimisation
• Technical fault‑finding Level 3 & 4
• Security best practices and compliance standards
• Mentoring Colleagues and supporting technical development of others
• Service design and associated methodologies
• Problem solving and communication skills
• Industry based best practice
