Overview

Automation Assurance Specialist - Consultant - Digital Excellence

Our Automation Assurance Specialists ensure the reliability and quality of technical solutions delivered to clients, providing confidence that implementations meet expectations and specifications. Responsibilities include executing comprehensive testing across Accessibility, Performance, Security, and Functional validation. The role includes designing and maintaining clean, robust automation test suites and integrating them into a continuous integration pipeline.

Responsibilities
  • You’ll undertake cross-functional engineering projects, working in small teams with other engineers in different knowledge spheres, building supportable, sustainable, and reliable services.
  • Be part of a community of engineers within Capgemini Invent, delivering on large-scale, technically challenging projects.
  • Take personal responsibility for assuring confidence in the technical delivery – collaborating with other engineers and the design team.
  • Continually improve our teams’ processes, practices, tools, and techniques.
  • Share knowledge and experience with colleagues as you coach and mentor them, while developing your own skills by experimenting with and learning new technologies.
  • Encourage innovation, inclusion, teamwork, self-organisation, and diversity.
  • Work with clients and internal teams to develop new opportunities and open-source projects and initiatives.
Role progression and business contribution
  • Business Development – Contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contributions, and client hosting at events.
  • Internal Contribution – Campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development, offering development.
  • Learning & Development – Training to support career development and certifications.
Your profile

To be part of our team, you will have a mixture of the following experience:

Required
  • ISTQB Foundation (minimum). Equivalent qualifications or experience may be considered.
  • Experience with core testing techniques:
    Exploratory, Integration, Manual, Functional.
  • Experience setting up and contributing to test frameworks in Java or JavaScript.
  • Experience writing automated tests (backend and frontend) using Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber, REST, etc.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Experience using online version control tools (Git Hub, Git Lab, etc.).
  • Experience with self-management and identifying areas that need work.
Desirable
  • Experience with a wider range of testing techniques (Accessibility, Performance, Security, etc.).
  • Experience applying structured evaluation methods (AI evals) to validate outputs in real-world scenarios.
  • Experience using Docker to aid testing.
  • Experience using Maven to run automated tests.
  • Experience with CI/CD (Gitlab, Git Hub, Jenkins).
  • Familiarity with web standards, accessibility, and test automation best practices.
  • Knowledge of  design system.
