SecurityClearance Required:
BPSS and SC clearance (typically requires 5 years continuous UK address history, usually including no periods of 30 consecutive days or more spent outside of the UK, and declaration of being a British passport holder with no dual nationalism at the point of application)
Key Responsibilities
- Define security architecture for high-profile solutions across traditional and ground-breaking enterprise IT and operational technology systems
- Integrate and collaborate with technical and solutions architects
- Work with Information Assurance and penetration testing teams to validate security controls
- Apply threat modeling techniques to identify security threats and define security requirements
- Manage security requirements through the delivery and operational lifecycle of systems
- Provide authoritative specialist security advice on risk and threat-based mitigation
- Develop excellent working relationships with key stakeholders, peers, and subordinates
- Communicate complex technical solutions effectively to non-technical audiences
- Strong technical experience of security in at least one the following areas:
- IP networking & OT
- On-premises architecture and Virtualization
- Cloud platforms and Containerization
- Databases and LLMs
- Threat modelling techniques to identify security threats to systems, leading to the definition of security requirements
- Managing security requirements through the delivery and operational lifecycle of a system
- Provision of authoritative specialist security advice in:
- Risk and threat-based mitigation to system designs
- Control frameworks such as NIST, ISO, CIS
- Protective monitoring, Authentication and authorization best practices
- Ability to develop excellent working relationships with key stakeholders, peers, and subordinates
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written:
- Effectively explain complex technical solutions to a non-technical audience
- Write meaningfully to deliver clear information and guidance
- Give impactful presentations, articulating key points clearly
- Critical thinking and problem-solving within information technology
- Flexibility and mobility to spend time onsite with clients and partners
- Previous employment as a Security Architect (not essential - technical specialists with a strong lean towards security often make excellent security architects)
