You’ll play a key role in transforming the HR service delivery across the Force, helping to embed a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement. Working closely with the HR Team, you’ll deliver high-quality, consistent HR service, driving forward our People Strategy and developing our workforce.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver key HR strategies, owning specific HR business areas
  • Act as a change agent to support the Force wide and local change programmes
  • Establish and maintain strong effective links with other People Teams
  • Work in partnership with senior leaders to help resolve business problems
  • Build organisational and people capability using the insight gained from working with the Force leadership teams
  • Influence, support, and coach leaders on all People matters, to ensure a high quality and consistent delivery of People services
Qualifications
  • A relevant degree and CIPD Level 7 qualification (MCIPD essential will consider actively working towards).
  • Proven experience in strategic HR leadership, complex case management, and change delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and public sector operations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Interview date to be advised. The interview will consist of a scenario-based activity and a competency-based interview.
Location and travel

Please note this post is based at Bolton Divisional Headquarters with a requirement to travel Force wide.
