Role

A Fantastic Opportunity:
Cars / Benefits Administrator (Payroll)

We are looking for an experienced professional to provide expertise, processing, and administration services to employees and management in relation to company cars, salary sacrifice cars, and other payments and benefits from a payroll perspective. In this role, you will also support People Services with HR administration tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance at every stage.

You will be responsible for processing and maintaining all car records in SAP in line with company policy and rules, ensuring timely payments and deductions for salary sacrifice cars and other benefits for both employees and suppliers. Supporting the Payroll and People Services team, you will enter and audit HR information in SAP and assist with the P11D(b) process. Managing employee enquiries regarding company cars and salary sacrifice cars will be a key part of your role, along with performing expense checks for cars and mileage claims and overseeing the leaver process to resolve any outstanding benefit over-payments.

Collaboration is essential as you work closely with the Fleet Team to ensure accurate car records, produce management information, and liaise with providers on reporting that monitors benefits. You will identify and escalate any gaps in process, governance, or service standards, offering solutions for improvement. Working with Internal Communications, you will help deliver updates to employees regarding benefits and partner with the Pensions and Benefits Manager and Head of Reward to explore opportunities related to benefits, particularly in relation to cars.

As the subject matter expert on the salary sacrifice car scheme and company car scheme, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring these programs run smoothly and deliver value to the business and its employees.

  • Have expertise in Microsoft Office products, mainly MS Excel.
  • Must be customer focused and service driven.
  • Previous experience working as an administrator, preferably in a HR or Payroll environment
  • Knowledge and experience of Payroll legislation is desirable.
  • Experience of SAP HR/Payroll is desirable.
  • Must have basic level of education (5 GCSE’S / O’Levels, including Maths and English) or equivalent.
