Payroll Specialist
Start Date: 2nd of Feb 2026, till Start of June 2026
Pay Rate
: £13.34 per hour PAYE
Work Location: Hybrid Angel Square, Manchester
Working Days: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
3 weeks at 1 day in the office, payroll 2 days in the office
Training: 2-3 weeks full-time whilst training.
What you’ll do
- Use the Oracle Fusion system to process payroll data to tight deadlines
- Process starters, leavers, absences and ad-hoc payments
- Check key payroll control reports to make sure they're accurate and compliant to government legislation
- Spot opportunities for continuous improvement, identifying ways to further streamline our payroll service
- At times supporting basic payroll knowledge and experience 1-2 years of experience
- Admin payroll team - do deal with internal customer queries, looking at discrepancies, checks, SLA driven team
What you’ll bring
- Some previous payroll or similar shared services experience A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- The ability to confidently use Microsoft Word and Excel
- Payroll experience
- Basic knowledge Tax, NI, payroll
- Good team working skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with others but also to work autonomously with support
- HR management System Oracle - any Payroll transferable skills
- Good organizational skills, with the ability to manage a large caseload and prioritize your work
