About The Role

Night Porter – £12.50ph / 28 hours. Permanent position. Malmaison Manchester Deansgate.

Situated on Albert Square, Manchester. 70 bedrooms, 80-seater Bar & Grill, 116-seater rooftop bar & terrace, 2 meeting rooms (seating up to 12). The city’s key cultural and historic landmarks are nearby and Manchester’s vibrant, inclusive, and creative culture informs the guest experience.

The Night Porter is instrumental in overseeing the running of the hotel from sundown to sunrise. This is a hands-on role managing guest expectations and ensuring the brand standards are maintained.

As guests sleep, the Nights team keeps operations running smoothly. You will:

• Be responsible for the Food & Beverage Department during the night,
• Welcome guests in a friendly and helpful manner,
• Keep public areas immaculate and prepare meeting and event spaces for the next day,
• Assist guests with luggage, handle inquiries, and conduct nightly Health and Safety audits,
• Be organized and an excellent communicator.

Experience in a similar role is beneficial and night shift experience is essential. The hotel operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year with flexible shift patterns available and discussed eer progression opportunities include Night Supervisory or Assistant Night Management roles.

• Oversee hotel operations during night hours and maintain brand standards.
• Manage guest interactions, safety, and security protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas and readiness of meeting/event spaces.
• Support night-time Food & Beverage operations and inquiries.
• Assist guests with luggage and directions, ensuring a positive guest experience.

• Experience in a similar role is beneficial.
• Night shift experience is essential.
