King Street Townhouse Hotel is seeking a dedicated hospitality professional with leadership skills and a passion for beverages and cocktails. As a Bar Manager
, you will oversee bar operations, ensuring outstanding service for our guests. The hotel also includes King Street Tavern (bar, restaurant and wine cellars), afternoon tea rooms, conferencing & event space, gym and treatment rooms, which are available to hotel guests. King Street Townhouse boasts features such as its rooftop infinity spa pool with views of Manchester’s town hall. The hotel is known for special events and occasions, including christenings, wedding parties, anniversaries and birthday celebrations, as well as regular corporate banquets and events.

• Ensure smooth running of the Beverage department, delivering high service standards
• Support the Food and Beverage Manager in aligning team members with company requirements
• Drive financial targets for covers, spend per head, labour, cost of sale, purchasing, and operating profit
• Be visible and approachable at all times
• Coach and mentor team members, assist with training and new starter inductions
• Attend operations meetings
• Possess extensive knowledge of wine and cocktail offerings
• Maintain and exceed service standards, ensuring guest satisfaction
• Work effectively in a high-pressure environment, displaying resilience
• Respond promptly and efficiently to guest requests and complaints
• Understand seasonal menu and beverage offerings, recommending and answering questions

• Previous experience in a similar role within a 5
  * luxury hotel or high-end bar
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities
• Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and handle complaints with discretion and sensitivity
• Ability to maintain professional standards under pressure
• Strong knowledge of beverages, cocktails, and bar management software
• Excellent administration and organizational skills
• Proactive, process-led and organized with a focus on quality
• Enthusiastic and positive, promoting a welcoming atmosphere
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for the King Street Townhouse brand
• Degree Level 2:1 or equivalent work experience
• WSET Level 2 or strong knowledge and interest in wine
• Food Safety Level certification
