Reporting directly to the Cluster Director of Sales, you will be responsible for maximising the sales potential and achieving the meeting room sales budget of the hotel.

Your Job
  • Review function sheets on a Monday with the Executive (prior to Operations Meeting on Wednesday)
  • Daily Checking of PMs to ensure all is in order
  • Morning catch‑up with the Executive, review that day’s diary, any appointments/ meetings and what prep is required
  • Support on quoting when required
  • Weekend Handover email with Sheets – send an email with Saturday / Sunday and Monday’s daily sheets
  • Spot checking weekly of the Executive’s bookings to ensure all information of bookings being entered and listed correct re Notes etc
  • Attend the Weekly Operations’ meeting
  • Daily check of the Events inbox to review what quotes have been sent / what enquiries are in the inbox, this is to be done each morning before the team arrive to get an overview of the day’s enquiries, also check sporadically throughout the day.
  • Principal Accountabilities Team
  • Leading by example - actively promote a positive attitude throughout the hotels, be visible, approachable, supportive and with the team at the right times.
  • Training Culture – to drive engagement and efficiency within the team also personally ensures that all team members receive financial and any applicable statutory training. To encourage attendance at training as listed on the company training calendar.
  • Compliance - Ensure all legal, statutory and company HR regulations and policies are followed to safeguard the team, our owners and the company.
  • Developing as a leader - have a personal development plan that reflects your ambitions and goals to grow as a person and a leader. Also attend and complete all required mandatory legal and company-based training
  • Catch the Team doing things right - share the behaviour you expect and the required performance level then actively set out to recognise and reward great guest interactions, team work and activity above and beyond.
  • Support
  • Providing support to the Director of Sales & Marketing including cover in the DOS absence as well as the wider Hotel management Team.
  • Assisting with weekly sales & marketing reporting and forecasting within Company deadlines.
  • Contributing pro‑actively to the overall hotel management:
    • Maintaining the control environment by providing guidance and training to managers and staff.
    • Ensuring a focus on cost management by working with the wider hotel team to ensure understanding of KPI reporting.
  • Ensuring compliance with all procedures, highlighting any issues or non‑compliance as necessary.
  • Attending and participating in relevant meetings on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Maintaining open communication always.
  • What You Will Needed
    • 2 years managerial experience in a Meeting & Events Sales Manager role
    • Experience with Opera System is advantageous but not essential
    • Experience with in the hospitality industry is advantageous but not essential
    • Experience working with customers
    • An excellent commandof the English language
    • Possess the ability to see an opportunity and act on it to secure revenue for the Hotel.
    • Strong selling and interpersonal skills.
