Overview

We are seeking a mental health nurse, social worker, psychologist or any Allied Health Professional registered with a professional body to join our CAMHS team. You will provide a range of high quality interventions appropriate to the child or young person's needs.

• Assume responsibility for management of a defined caseload and exercise the highest standards of professional responsibility for the assessment, treatment and discharge of children, young people and their families/carers.
• Participate in a duty rota including receipt and screening of referrals, obtaining further information and responding promptly to emergency requests for assessments or contact, signposting, and advice.
• Undertake assessment of children, young people including risk assessment, gathering appropriate information from their family/carers and other relevant agencies.
• Develop a formulation and plan for intervention with the child, young person and parents/carers, and communicate this to the referrer/other relevant professionals.
• Offer therapeutic, evidence-based practice interventions in line with NICE guidelines.
• Implement, co‑coordinate and regularly review further assessment and a range of therapeutic interventions, including risk management.
• Routinely monitor effectiveness of clinical work by use of Routine Outcome Measures (ROM).
• Ensure that the perspective of children, young people and families is incorporated into all aspects of assessment and treatment.
• The role involves travel to other locations within MFT and within the local community.
