At Northern Healthcare
, we’ve raised our starting wage to £12.40 per hour and are looking for Bank Support Workers to cover our Greater Manchester/North West services
, located in Preston, Bolton, Bury/Radcliffe, Accrington, Oldham, Rochdale, and Trafford. 💷

You must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle
, as this role requires travel between our services across the Greater Manchester area. We are seeking individuals who can provide regular support and offer flexible coverage as needed.

💼 Your Role:
Bank Mental Health Support Worker

As a valued member of our team, you’ll work flexibly to support individuals in their journey towards recovery. You’ll help them build daily routines, gain confidence, and live fulfilling, independent lives.

🧠 What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Support with purpose – Help individuals develop self-care routines, build resilience, and manage their mental health.
  • Everyday independence – Assist with practical tasks such as meal preparation, medication, budgeting, and attending appointments.
  • Encourage connection – Promote social inclusion and help reduce isolation through community engagement.
  • Team collaboration – Work alongside psychiatrists, therapists, and social workers to deliver impactful, person-centred care.
  • Keep things on track – Maintain clear records and communication to ensure the best outcomes for those we support.
About You

No previous experience in mental health care? No problem! If you’re empathetic, open-minded, and eager to learn
, we’ll provide full training and ongoing support to help you thrive.
