We are looking for a permanent part time Medical Receptionist to join our team based at The Robert Darbishire Practice, the largest and busiest of the three GP practices in the Better Health MCR Primary Care Network. The post is 22.5 hours per week;

Monday - Friday 08:00 - 12:30.

The postholderwill be required to work flexibly and to provide cover for absence and busy periods. As part of this, they may be required to work Saturdays. There mayalso be a requirement for the postholder to work at our other practices fromtime to time.

Salary will be withinthe range £24,638 to £26,648 (pro rata for part time. This role is 22.5 hours per week) depending on experience. We offer 5.4 - 6.6 weeks holiday plus bank holidays (pro rata) and optional membership of the NHSPension Scheme

Main duties of the job

Our reception team are the first point of contact for our patients and play an important rolein understanding patients needs, resolving queries, dealing with prescription requests and either booking an appointment with the most appropriate clinician at the practice or signposting the patient to a service outside the practice.

You dont need tohave worked in healthcare before as long as you have excellent people skills, agood attention to detail and you are willing and eager to learn new skills. Wewill provide in-house training and support.

The post is part-timeand will be mostly based at The Robert Darbishire Practice, although you will also need to be able to travel to ourother sites as needed. The usual working hours are Monday Friday 08:00-12:30.

Salary will be inthe range £24,638 to £26,648 pro rata (full-time is 37.5 hours), depending on experience. We offer membership of the NHS Pension Scheme and 5.4-6.6 weeks'holiday (depending on NHS service) plus bank holidays (pro rata). (The post isnot subject to Agenda for Change terms and conditions.)
