About this jobWe’re looking for an experienced, motivated, and enthusiastic nurse to join our dedicated and well-established Specialist Pain Management Team, which works closely with the Supportive Care Team.
This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity to make a real difference in patient care.
As a registered nurse with a Nursing Degree, you’ll bring proven experience in caring for patients with post-operative pain, supported by relevant qualifications or hands‑on experience.

You will work autonomously in the delivery of acute post-operative and chronic pain services and participate in the education of staff.
In addition, you will be involved in ongoing service evaluation and improvement through clinical audit and guideline development/ upkeep.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ClinicalProvide specialist pain management knowledge to clinical colleagues, patients and carers both within and outside the Trust.
Participate in the evaluation of service delivery and identify areas for improvement and initiate change.
Assist in the development of bids to support pain service developments at the Trust.
Guide, influence and implement pain and palliative/supportive care policy within the Trust.
Support the development of supportive care services at local, regional and national level through active contribution at appropriate multi-disciplinary forums within the Trust.
Support clinical developments/projects to promote excellence in patient care.
Provide and receive clinical supervision and mentorship to facilitate reflective practice.
Collect and collate data on the pain management service activity ensuring the delivery of a high quality cost-effective service.
