Job Description

The family are looking for a PA to help this young man. He is a 14 year old with Autism, global developmental delay, and behaviour and emotional difficulties.

As the PA, you will help him access the community—shops, attractions, and days out. You will regulate him when he is upset and has an outburst, remain calm and reassuring, provide personal care such as changing pads, and take him out into the community to get him used to social settings.

• Regulate him when he is upset and has an outburst.
• Remain calm and be reassuring.
• Personal care – changing pads.
• Take him out into the community to get him used to social settings.

• Experience in Autism – ESSENTIAL.

He is a cheeky, loving, affectionate, playful, funny boy but can have outbursts and become angry/upset.

• Going for walks.
• Going to zoos – likes animals.
• Loves TV and watching his brother on Xbox.
• Listening to dance/trance music.

• Employer Gender – Male
• Hourly Rate – £12.21
• Hours Per Week – 4 hours termtime / 8 hours in the holidays. This individual requires PA’s to double up – 2 carers to care for him.
• Hours will be used – Afternoons and weekends if available.
• Employer requires transport? – Yes
• Can PA smoke during work hours? – No but vaping is ok.
