We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated pharmacist to take on this role. This varied and challenging position presents a great opportunity to make a real difference to patient care, demonstrate your ability to innovate and implement change, and lead, support and progress the pharmacy services across general medicine.
Responsibilities- The successful candidate will be an integral part of the general medicine service and wards teams, as well as the wider Pharmacy team across MFT.
- The individual will work across the division supporting the development of both the service, and the junior pharmacists who provide day to day clinical services to the area.
- The post holder will develop and deliver excellent pharmaceutical services to patients with a wide range of often complex medical problems, communicating with a diverse population of patients and carers.
- You will participate in ward rounds, provide expert medicines advice to staff and patients, review medication incidents and develop clinical guidelines.
- You will perform a pivotal role in the provision of education and training to the multi-disciplinary team and ensure key governance priorities are met.
- You will also play a vital role in the coordination of the ongoing education and training program for pharmacists, trainee pharmacists and technicians within the team.
- You will have the opportunity to use our digital technology to improve the way we work for our patients and colleagues.
