Overview

CGL Manchester Drug & Alcohol Services has an integrated approach to delivering substance and alcohol treatment services. We work with clients over the age of 18 and provide a wide range of services and interventions, including Entry Into Service assessments, Recovery groups, Aftercare Programme and non-structured well-being activities.

Responsibilities
  • Support the team in completing triage assessments for people at the beginning of their recovery journey.
  • Provide accurate information and undertake various duties that enhance or support the delivery of the service.
  • Listen to people, share what you have heard with the service, represent their views, and use their feedback to inform service development and improvement.
  • Communicate decisions or changes resulting from user feedback to service users.
  • Work with Change Grow Live staff and connect with the wider community.
  • Ensure safety and well-being of all children, young people, and adults, demonstrating understanding of and commitment to best safeguarding practice.
Qualifications and Expectations
  • 1–3 days per week volunteer commitment, with the possibility of up to one year of volunteering.
  • Availability for training commencing 20/04/26, one day per week over seven weeks.
  • Commitment to attending interviews after 30/03/26.
  • Pass an enhanced level Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Training Schedule

Training will commence 20/04/26 and will involve one day per week over seven weeks, held on Mondays at Bradnor Point, Wythenshawe (M22 4TF
) and Wednesdays at The Old School House, Clayton (M11 4HA
).
