ResponsibilitiesYou will support the Principal Facilities Manager – Sustainability and the wider Facilities team to play a key role in publicising and promoting sustainability policies, strategies and action plans. You will obtain buy‑in from key stakeholders, promote joint working and integration of sustainability measures, and ensure that the force’s net‑zero target for 2038 is met.
With an excess of 85 buildings across the 10 districts of Greater Manchester, the GMP estate is large, complex and diverse. Your day‑to‑day work will involve partnering with policing colleagues, managing service providers and suppliers, and liaising with staff to meet performance and business expectations.
Qualifications• HNC or equivalent in environmental science or an associated discipline.
• At least 3 years residency in the UK.
• Well‑developed networking skills and the ability to prioritise a challenging workload.
