The Record to Report (RTR) team within Finance Operations plays a key role in ensuring ITV’s financial information is accurate, reliable and delivered on time. The team manages core accounting activities that support the integrity of ITV’s financial reporting, working closely with teams across Finance Operations and the wider business.
Within RTR, the Intercompany Accounting team is responsible for managing and reconciling intercompany transactions across the Group. The team works in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a strong focus on accuracy, continuous improvement and strengthening financial controls as ITV continues its finance transformation journey.
The roleWe’re looking for an Assistant Accountant – Intercompany to join the RTR team on a permanent basis. In this role, you’ll support the accurate and timely processing of intercompany transactions while helping ensure balances between ITV entities are reconciled and agreed.
Working closely with colleagues across Finance Operations, you’ll investigate discrepancies, prepare reconciliations and ensure transactions are processed in line with accounting policies and controls. This role is ideal for someone with a strong attention to detail who enjoys problem solving and working in a structured, deadline-driven finance environment.
ResponsibilitiesSome of your key day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Processing intercompany transactions accurately and in line with accounting standards and internal controls
- Ensuring intercompany postings are recorded correctly within Oracle Fusion
- Investigating discrepancies in intercompany reconciliations
- Supporting the agreement and settlement of intercompany balances across the Group
- Reviewing transaction requests and challenging incomplete or inaccurate information
- Supporting the resolution of intercompany VAT differences and reconciliation activities
- Collaborating with teams across Finance Operations to resolve discrepancies and improve processes
- Supporting system testing, audits and continuous improvement initiatives across the RTR team
- Assistant Accountant (part-qualified or equivalent) with experience performing accounting transactions and reconciliations
- Good understanding of end-to-end finance processes
- Experience using accounting systems (Oracle Fusion or similar ERP preferred)
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines
- A proactive and inquisitive mindset, keen to understand systems and processes
- Confident collaborating with colleagues across finance teams to resolve issues
- Comfortable working through change and supporting digital transformation initiatives
- Resilient and self-motivated, able to manage workload independently
- A collaborative team player who supports colleagues and shares knowledge
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on identifying root causes
- Interest in improving processes and adopting automation where possible
