We are seeking to appoint a Chief Financial Officer and Governance Lead
, who will also act as Company Secretary, to oversee the financial operation of Broadoak Primary School, an Outstanding Single Academy Trust with 480 pupils and approximately 60 staff.

• Manage the financial affairs of the school, ensuring resources are used effectively to support the success of all pupils.

• Provide cover for the School Business Manager and assist with financial tasks as required.

• Work closely with the Headteacher to contribute to the shared vision and values of the school.

• Develop and maintain sound financial and business practices, ensuring compliance with the Academies Handbook.

• Identify and mitigate financial risks and develop robust financial plans.

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both within and outside the organisation.

• Proven track record of financial management in the education sector or a similar environment.

• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to mitigate risks.

• Strong budget management and accounting system knowledge.

• Exceptional organisational, communication and IT skills.

• Ability to work as part of a team, be diplomatic, self‑reliant and self‑motivated, with minimal supervision.

• A professional accountancy qualification is ideal but not essential for the right candidate.
