Boards. Representbothforcesinmedicalappealsandcomplaints,developandrefinepoliciesandoperatingmodels,andprovideexpertinsight,regulatory compliance,andnationalliaison.

HR&Pension Advisertoensureconsistent,high-qualityservicedeliveryonadaytodaybasis.

Main Responsibilities:

Partner Actasthe Essexand Kent Pension Authorityandleadforbothforcesonmanaginganddeliveringthemedicalhealthretirementprocessforbothofficersandstaff ,ensuringcompliancewithall

Police

Regulations,employment law,Police Pension Regulations ,2015) andLocal Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) regulationstoensurefair,accurate,andtimelydecisionsonretirementandinjurybenefits,ensuringcompliancewithlegalrequirementsandorganisationalpolicies. Manageandresolvecomplexpensionandmedicalretirementcasework,ensuringfullcompliancewith

Police Pension Schemeand LGPSregulationsincludingoverseeingmedicalappeals,discretionarypensiondecisions,forfeiturecases,IDRPcomplaints,andill-healthretirementassessments.

Develop,applyandpromoteeffectivepolicies,proceduresandgovernancestandardstodeliveraconsistent,equitableandprofessional

HRandpensionsadvisoryserviceforbothofficersandpolicestaff. Maintain Pensions Boardsfor Kentand Essexforcesandinconjunctionwiththe Headof Payrolland Pensionsandthe Chairsofthe Boards ,actasprincipalliaisoninordertoensurealltherequirementsandresponsibilitiesofthe

Boardaredischargedappropriately. Provideprofessionaladviceandguidancetothe Chief Constablesof Kentand Essexofensuringcompliancewiththe Police Pensions Scheme ,2015) regulations.
