Overview
At Grant Thornton we do things differently – looking to the future, driving ambitious growth and pioneering positive change in our industry. Providing audit, tax and advisory services, we empower clients through strategic insight, curiosity, and genuine partnership. And we empower our people with real opportunity, an inclusive culture and work life balance. A true alternative.
Job DescriptionEvery day our teams help people, businesses and communities to do what is right and achieve their goals. We pride ourselves on helping our clients achieve their strategic aims whilst maximising the tax exemptions available to them.
We work with a diverse range of organisations, including University Groups, Social Housing Groups, Registered Charities, Mutual Traders, Local Authorities and Local Authority Trading Companies. We provide tax structuring, tax compliance and tax due diligence advice to support these organisations, who represent some of the less privileged in society, growing to deliver more valuable services for the benefit of the communities they represent.
Our ideas and insight empower our clients to make big decisions about the future, potential diversification in the face of reduced grant funding and unlock sustainable growth.
Given our large Social Housing and Local Authority client base, a large amount of our work is focused on real estate transactions including tax structuring on collaborative regeneration projects, mixed‑tenure development schemes, student housing and acquisitions/disposals arising from estate management projects. We advise on Capital Gains and Corporate Tax and work closely with our colleagues in Stamp Taxes and VAT to provide holistic tax advice.
We are happy to discuss flexible working and consider reduced hours and job shares to support work‑life balance.
