We have an exciting position available for a Financial Inclusion Specialist to join us!
You will deliver a customer-focused financial inclusion service to help customers manage their finances and improve their financial capability, avoiding legal action and potential eviction.
This role empowers residents to sustain their tenancies by providing comprehensive welfare benefits advice, including support with Housing Benefit and Universal Credit, alongside tailored money guidance. You will manage casework, refer to appropriate external organisations, and advocate on behalf of residents with creditors and the DWP, ensuring they receive their full benefit entitlement and support with grant or charitable funding applications where appropriate.
Responsibilities- Deliver customer-focused financial inclusion services.
- Manage casework and referrals to external organisations.
- Advocate on behalf of residents with creditors and the DWP.
- Ensure residents receive full benefit entitlement and support with grant/charitable funding applications.
- Design and deliver Financial Inclusion training courses for One Manchester customers.
- Experience providing personal financial advice and guidance.
- Knowledge and experience of welfare benefits advice including legislation such as Welfare Reform Act 2012.
- Computer literate with experience of housing management systems and case management systems.
- Self‑motivated and able to work on own initiative to meet required deadlines.
- Full UK driving licence and ability to drive.
