Senior Management Accountant Salford - on-site 5 days per week £50,000 - £55,000 DOE

I am excited to be partnered with this fast-growth retail organisation in their search for a Senior Management Accountant. This role is perfectly suited to an industry-trained Management Accountant looking to take their next step up. You will be reporting into an impressive Finance Manager and will have exposure to a huge amount across the finance function.

This role is an integral position within the finance team and will support the Finance Manager with the production of monthly management accounts, annual statutory accounts and KPI reports to help inform management and enhance overall business performance.

Key duties of the Senior Management Accountant
  • Lead the production of the monthly management accounts including variance analysis and commentaries
  • Assist in the production of the annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts as well as weekly P&L/cashflow forecasts
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations
  • Work closely with the Finance Manager on the year end statutory accounts, audit and tax queries
  • Review accounting processes and practices to improve the efficiency of the finance function
  • Analyse financial information to assist business profitability and growth
  • Completion of the quarterly VAT and overseas tax returns
  • Assist the Finance Manager and Financial Controller on ad-hoc analysis such as business cases for investment decisions etc.
  • Support a strong learning culture within the team, helping to develop all finance colleagues by providing ad-hoc 'on the job' training
About you
  • Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent with up to two years PQE experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to thrive within a fast paced environment
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach
  • The ability to create effective working relationships quickly
