A leading UK legal practice with a national Banking & Finance team is expanding its Manchester office and is seeking a Senior Associate with strong banking and finance experience. This role offers exposure to a broad and varied range of financing transactions, working with UK financial institutions, lenders, borrowers, private equity sponsors and specialist debt funds on core and complex deals.

What you’ll be doing

  • Draft, review and negotiate facility agreements, LMA documentation, credit agreements and related security documentation.
  • Advise UK and international banks, challenger lenders and corporate borrowers on bespoke financing structures.
  • Act for private equity houses, management teams and alternative lenders on unitranche, mezzanine and second lien structures.
  • Project manage transactions from start to finish, providing commercially focused legal advice.
What you’ll bring
  • Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with 4–7 years’ PQE in a substantive banking & finance practice.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and contribute to business development initiatives.
Why this matters

  • Work on genuinely varied mandates and build stronger sector expertise spanning mainstream and structured finance.
  • Hybrid working model with flexible arrangements that support professional development and work-life balance.
  • Competitive remuneration with bonus potential and targeted career progression.

If you’re a technically strong banking lawyer ready to step into a more senior role with meaningful client engagement and responsibility, this is a compelling platform to deepen your practice in one of the UK’s key regional financial hubs.
