A well-known accountancy and business advisory firm is seeking to appoint a Restructuring Director or Partner to play a key role in the continued growth of its Northern Restructuring Advisory practice
, based in Manchester
.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced restructuring professional who thrives in complex, high-stakes environments and is motivated by building client relationships, leading teams, and shaping the future direction of a growing regional practice.
The OpportunityYou will take a lead role in delivering and originating restructuring and insolvency assignments, with a strong emphasis on corporate insolvency and Administrations
. Working closely with lenders, credit funds, and other stakeholders, you will provide clear, commercial advice to businesses facing financial distress, while contributing to the strategic growth of the firm’s restructuring offering across the North.
- Lead and advise on corporate insolvency appointments, with particular focus on Administrations
- Act as a Licensed Appointment Taker on formal insolvency cases
- Deliver contingency planning, options reviews, and turnaround advisory engagements
- Prepare and review detailed financial models and cash flow forecasts
- Lead and contribute to Independent Business Reviews (IBRs)
- Manage stakeholder relationships including ABLs, credit funds, banks, and other lenders
- Maintain a strong understanding of regulatory, statutory, and risk considerations
- Provide sound, pragmatic advisory input to boards, funders, and management teams
- Support business development, profile-raising, and the growth of the Northern restructuring team
- Mentor and develop junior and mid-level team members
- Extensive end-to-end experience of corporate insolvency procedures
- Strong working knowledge of UK insolvency regulation and compliance requirements
- Proven experience delivering IBRs and complex advisory engagements
- Excellent financial analysis and modelling capability
- Strong commercial judgement and risk awareness
- Highly credible with lenders and other financial stakeholders
- Confident communicator with strong client-facing and leadership skills
- Senior leadership role within a respected and growing restructuring practice
