We re recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing business in Worsley that s looking to add a Purchase Ledger Clerk to its friendly finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a supportive environment, values work-life balance, and wants stability.

What you ll be doing

You ll play a key role in keeping the purchase ledger running smoothly, with responsibilities including:

  • Processing supplier invoices and credit notes accurately and efficiently

  • Matching invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes

  • Preparing supplier payment runs and ensuring invoices are paid on time

  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies

  • Handling supplier and internal queries via phone and email

  • Setting up new suppliers and maintaining accurate records

  • Processing expenses, company cards, and petty cash

  • Supporting the finance team at month-end with reports, accruals, and prepayments

What we re looking for

This role would suit someone who is organised, detail-focused, and comfortable working with numbers:

  • Highly experienced in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role (or similar)

  • Comfortable using Excel and accounting software

  • Strong attention to detail and good time management

  • Confident communicating with suppliers and internal teams
