Overview

VAT Director – Manchester. Our client, one of the UK's most respected Professional Services Firms, is seeking an experienced VAT Senior Manager or Director to lead Advisory services and expand Indirect Tax offerings in the Manchester area.

The role focuses on providing high level VAT advisory services to an interesting portfolio of Owner Managed businesses, SMEs and entrepreneurial clients across sectors including property & construction, manufacturing, consumer goods, natural resources, professional partnerships and financial services.

Our client is looking for an experienced VAT professional (CTA qualified) at Senior Manager, Associate Director or Director level who has the potential to further develop the VAT & Indirect Tax offering. The role involves more than delivery; there is significant exposure to marketing and business development, client alerts, thought leadership, and speaking at events.

The Manchester office is commutable from areas across Greater Manchester and surrounding areas including Bolton, Burnley, Warrington, Stockport, Oldham, and Wigan.

• Provide technical VAT advice and support to clients, often with professional staff, verbally and in writing; apply complex, specialist advice to deliver innovative value-add solutions.
• Lead the Indirect Tax advisory services within the portfolio, with potential to develop the offer across targeted sectors.
• Contribute to marketing and business development activities, including client alerts, thought leadership, events and webinars.
• Collaborate with other professionals and support teams to deliver high-quality advisory outcomes.

• CTA-qualified VAT professional at Senior Manager, Associate Director or Director level.
• Proven experience in VAT and Indirect Tax advisory, with ability to lead client engagements and develop service offerings.
• Sector experience in property & construction, manufacturing, consumer goods, natural resources, professional partnerships or financial services is advantageous.
