The successful candidate will support the Transactions Manager with the day‑to‑day running of both the Accounts Receivable & Payable functions, ensuring transactions are processed accurately, efficiently, and in line with company procedures. There is potential for future opportunities to progress and develop within the wider Finance team of this rapidly growing business.
- Record and allocate payments and receipts across all accounts.
- Register supplier invoices received into company mailbox/by post.
- Complete stock purchase orders and subsequent invoice postings.
- Investigate and resolve any queries relating to both supplier and customer accounts.
- Perform a regular review of both the aged debtor and aged creditor ledgers and add commentary in preparation for weekly update with the Transactions Manager and bi‑weekly update with the Financial Controller.
- Ensure accurate setup of accounts on Sage for both new suppliers and customers.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders with regards to queries and approvals.
- Perform any other office duties as requested by the Transactions Manager.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Able to learn and understand new systems quickly and efficiently.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers and suppliers.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
