TheOpportunity
We’re looking for a proactive and highly organised Senior Project Support professional to provide high-level operational, analytical, and project support to our Head of Credit Control for a 6 month fixed term contract. This is a hands‑on role where your insight, attention to detail, and ability to translate strategy into action will directly impact our success.
Location: Based at our HQ in Salford/ Hybrid / open to Remote role for the right candidate
What You’ll Do:Support to Head of Credit Control
- Act as the primary support, managing priorities, follow-ups, and actions.
- Prepare management information, reports, and presentations.
- Assist in resolving complex accounts, disputes, and high‑risk debt.
- Ensure continuity of service and strong communication with senior stakeholders.
- Support credit control projects including process improvements, system implementations, and policy updates.
- Maintain project plans, timelines, risk logs, and status reports.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and standardisation across the business.
- Assist with audits, compliance reviews, and documentation of controls.
- Develop and roll out training materials for credit controllers and wider teams.
- Analyse key reports, including debtor days, aged debt, and cash forecasting.
- Identify trends and risks to improve cash collection and reduce bad debt.
- Support board‑level reporting and presentations.
- Assist with credit limit reviews and new client credit checks.
- Work closely with the Credit Manager to provide structure, prioritisation, and guidance.
- Support workload planning, performance monitoring, and escalation management.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to junior team members.
- Build strong relationships with Sales, Payroll, Finance, and other internal teams.
- Strong background in Credit Control or Finance within recruitment or a high-volume invoice environment.
- Deep understanding of credit control principles, billing cycles, and cash flow management.
- Experience supporting change or improvement projects.
- Advanced Excel and strong data analysis skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Confident communicator able to influence senior stakeholders.
- Experience supporting system implementations or finance transformation projects.
- Experience in multi-brand or multi-site organisations.
- Proactive, solutions-focused, and commercially minded.
- High attention to detail with strong ownership and accountability.
- Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable with ambiguity.
- Professional and discreet, with strong confidentiality skills.
