Interim Head of Finance

We’re partnering with a fast-paced, international service organisation to appoint an Interim Head of Finance for a critical leadership assignment. This is a high-profile role, ideal for an experienced finance leader who thrives in complex, multi-entity environments and can quickly add value at both operational and strategic level.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you’ll take full ownership of the finance function, providing robust financial control, insight and leadership during a key period for the business.

Key Responsibilities

Lead monthly management and statutory reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timeliness.

Oversee the preparation of annual statutory accounts and manage the external audit process.

Maintain, enhance and embed strong financial controls and reporting systems across the organisation.

Own the budgeting and forecasting process, partnering closely with stakeholders across the business.

Monitor and manage working capital, cash flow and foreign exchange exposure.

Ensure full compliance with tax requirements, including VAT, duties and other statutory obligations.

Oversee core transactional processes including credit control, supplier payments and payroll.

Act as a key point of contact for external stakeholders such as auditors, banks and professional advisers.

Lead, motivate and develop the finance team.

Identify and deliver cost-saving initiatives, process improvements and systems enhancements.

Support ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives as required.
