Financial Analyst​/Modeller

Searchworks partners exclusively with a dynamic energy tech business pivoting from traditional accounting to a quant-driven future. Build the core of their new finance function—crafting advanced models that power commercial decisions and strategic growth.

• Develop financial models: cash flow forecasting, company valuations, scenario analysis, and capital strategy (debt, equity, treasury)
• Automate models using Python (competent level required) and Power
  
  BI for dynamic reporting and insights
• Support Commercial Finance (e.g., cost of sales metrics) and Structured Finance teams with data-heavy analysis
• Collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, engineers, risk teams, and finance stakeholders—present findings confidently

• 2-4 years' experience in financial modelling (6-7 years considered for exceptional candidates; no fresh graduates)
• Strong Python for data manipulation/automation (beyond Excel—legacy skills not suitable)
• Outgoing communicator who thrives presenting insights
• Background in renewables, fintech, pharma, or similar tech/energy sectors preferred
• Ready for technical discussions: e.g., "Walk us through building a cash flow model"
