Forge Talent are pleased to be partnering with a rapidly growing property development business who are seeking a Management Accountant to report directly to the Finance Director. This role supports the production of consolidated management accounts, financial analysis and reporting across a multi-entity group.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting
• Perform variance analysis and provide clear, insightful commentary on financial performance
• Support the preparation of board and senior management reports
• Assist with financial modelling to support commercial and strategic decision-making
• Take responsibility for payroll activities

• Support the annual budgeting process and ongoing re-forecasting cycles
• Track and analyse actual performance against budget
• Partner with budget holders to provide financial guidance and support effective cost control

• Carry out profitability and cost analysis to identify efficiency and savings opportunities
• Support automation initiatives and continuous improvement within the finance function
• Assist in reviewing and strengthening internal controls and financial procedures
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end close, including accruals, prepayments, bank reconciliations, intercompany and balance sheet reconciliations

• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Support statutory filings, ensuring all deadlines are met
• Ensure tax, payroll and pension-related submissions are completed accurately and on time

Person Specification

• Studying towards a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), ideally finalist level
• Proven experience in a management accounting role; sector experience beneficial but not essential
• Strong systems capability with advanced Excel skills

• Highly analytical with strong problem-solving ability
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
• Confident communicator, able to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders
• Proactive, inquisitive and process-improvement focused
• Able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a wider team
