Assistant Service Charge Accountant

The role:

to support the preparation,administration, and reconciliation of service charge accounts across a portfolio of commercial properties.

The role will ensure accuracy and compliance, working closely with the Service Charge Manager and the successful candidate will be methodical, motivated, flexible, and adaptable, with a strong desire tobuild a long-term career within an established and continually growing company. Initially, the role will provide support to the Service Charge Manager in a variety of accounting and administrative tasks, withthe intention that the successful candidate will progress to managing their own portfolio of properties over time.

• Assist in responding to tenant, service charge consultant, and property manager queries
• Liaise with and assist property managers, asset managers, credit control/central accounts, and external auditors
• Raise utility and ad hoc invoices to tenants and landlords
• Check periodic invoices raised in line with budgets and within service charge caps
• Process service charge expenditure, journals, accruals, and prepayments
