Job DescriptionThe Finance Manager will play a key role in management and reporting of revenue and margins, leading a team of part‑qualified management accountants. The role directly supports the Head of Finance and business heads in providing key financial reporting to support strategic decision‑making and driving profitability. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take responsibility for management accounts whilst offering exposure to senior stakeholders.

Salary: £60,000 DOE
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Term: 12‑month fixed‑term contract with a view to making it permanent
- Consolidation and review of mid‑month and month‑end reporting, ensuring accurate and timely reporting across key products and channels.
- Balance sheet management, ensuring key control accounts are reconciled monthly.
- Management of monthly revenue assurance reconciliations for key products, liaising with the business and suppliers to resolve queries.
- Working closely with HoF/CFO to ensure key risks and opportunities are identified and monitored.
- Implement and enhance operational/financial processes and controls, ensuring accuracy and efficiencies are achieved in monthly reporting.
- Support financial analysis/KPI reporting, budgeting and margin enhancement projects.
- Preparation of deliverables for the year‑end audit, ensuring that records are correct and complete.
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, ensuring effective development.
- Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
- Advanced MS Excel skills to a level enabling effective data analysis; knowledge of Microsoft Access and Data Warehouse functionality is advantageous.
- Proficiency with current financial software (Sage).
- Excellent communication skills, able to work effectively with both finance and non‑finance colleagues.
- Strong attention to detail, including awareness of contracts and legal documentation.
- Good follow‑up skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritise workloads and meet deadlines with an eye for accuracy and detail.
- A high energy level with creative problem‑solving abilities.
- Must be able to work on one’s own initiative and as part of a team.
