Overview
:
Working as an Associate Paraplanner in the Paraplanning Centre of Excellence, you will further develop technical knowledge to support Financial Planners with financial planning solutions for clients. You will draft suitability letters, reports, perform cashflow modelling, and liaise with Paraplanners and Client Executives to ensure timely processing of client business.
- Research and analysis: conduct research and analysis to identify suitable solutions for clients, including cashflow modelling scenarios.
- Technical work: draft basic suitability letters and reports for annual reviews and new business, prepare tax calculations and basic financial plans.
- Client requirements: determine client objectives and priorities, and understand client attitudes to risk and loss.
- Managing documentation: prepare and maintain client files throughout the advice journey in compliance.
- Compliance and regulation: work in accordance with FCA principles and regulations.
- Supporting the team: assist Client Executive with client matters and queries.
- Technical knowledge: dedicate time to developing technical and industry knowledge and meeting CPD requirements.

- Documentation and records accurately maintained in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Production of detailed and compliant client reports.

The role holder will have experience in a Client Services role within Financial Planning and will be eager to develop a career within Paraplanning or Financial Planning. You should be able to demonstrate a good application of basic paraplanning knowledge through role experience and professional study, working towards a Diploma in Financial Planning with a minimum of two R0 exams passed.
You are analytical, data literate, proficient with Microsoft Excel and other systems. You possess excellent communication and writing skills to produce well-structured letters and reports.
You are methodical and organized, pride high quality, detailed work, and pay close attention to detail. You can work autonomously within your expertise and seek support for complex matters. You will be comfortable taking on new tasks and eager to develop technical knowledge to become a subject matter expert.
You possess good understanding of financial products, FCA principles and regulatory standards, and work diligently in accordance with regulations and procedures.
You are a supportive team member, focused on providing helpful service to stakeholders, sharing knowledge, and assisting Client Executives with complex client matters to deliver great client service.
