About the RoleWe’re looking for an experienced Financial Controller to take ownership of financial reporting, compliance, and strategic financial planning. This is a pivotal role that ensures the accuracy and integrity of our financial data, supports executive decision-making, and drives the financial health of the business. Acting as a key business partner, you’ll provide insights that shape our strategy and enable growth.
Financial Reporting & Compliance- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with UK GAAP/IFRS.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax filings, and regulatory obligations.
- Manage the audit process and liaise with external auditors.
- Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts.
- Deliver variance analysis and financial models to support business decisions.
- Monitor and manage cash flow to meet financial obligations.
- Oversee banking relationships and optimise working capital.
- Implement robust internal controls and financial procedures.
- Drive efficiency through automation and system enhancements.
- Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with senior leadership to shape financial strategy.
- Provide insights and scenario analysis for strategic initiatives.
- Oversee ERP and financial reporting systems.
- Champion data analytics and dashboards for better decision-making.
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience in a senior finance role.
- Audit and compliance expertise with UK GAAP/IFRS.
- Proven leadership experience managing finance teams.
- Strong ERP systems knowledge and advanced Excel skills.
- Travel industry experience is highly desirable.
- Technical accounting expertise and commercial acumen.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
- High attention to detail and adaptability in a fast‑paced environment.
