Compliance Manager; IR35

We are looking for a lead Compliance Manager/Officer to join a Wealth Management and Financial Planning firm on a 3-6 month engagement.

• Lead business-as-usual compliance tasks including regulatory change, product governance, Consumer Duty, FCA matters, and AML/Financial Crime issues
• Maintain the risk register and prepare regulatory updates and management information for the board
• Draft and review regulatory training materials for the business
• Conduct due diligence on advisers and investments
• Manage SMCR requirements and assist with complaint handling

• Detailed and demonstrable FCA compliance knowledge on regulations such as COBS and Consumer Duty
• Industry experience from a background in Investments with a strong working knowledge of Pensions preferred
• Experience engaging with and reporting to senior stakeholders and/or board members
• Ability to hit the ground running with integrating themselves into a business; experience in contracting or consulting would be preferred

This is a new role within the business, which will define how the position looks in the future, greatly increasing the potential of it being extended or made permanent. The expectation is to be on client site 2-3 days per week in the Manchester office.
