Management Accountant

Axon Moore are recruiting for a growing business in Central Manchester to appoint a Management Accountant. The business has secured huge contracts, giving them a strong pipeline of projects and and will embark on a huge growth journey. As a result, they need to grow their team.

The role of Management Accountant is a new finance role within the business where you will support the Financial Controller, and the rest of the company to facilitate the company’s ambitious growth plans. The successful candidate will oversee financial transactions, ensure accurate reporting, and approval of payments. The role

Salary and Benefits :

Salary £36-42k DOE plus study support. 24 days holiday plus banks and Christmas/New Year close-down (3-5 extra days). Pension, hybrid working, cycle2work and social events, as well as access to free Padel and Yoga sessions.

Responsibilities:

Prepare management accounts for operating entities to support forecasting and budgeting.
Maintain robust financial controls and audit trails, ensuring Xero is kept to a high standard.
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations across the group.
Assist with VAT and CIS returns for the group, covering over 30 entities.
Contribute to the development and implementation of efficient processes to support accurate reporting.
Support the graduate accountant with payment processing and related finance procedures.
Undertake ad-hoc tasks as required.

Skills and Experience:

Part-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
Proven experience in construction, or project-based accounting would be desirable.
Management accounting and financial analysis skills.

Experience with payment processing, budgets, and cash flow forecasting would be desirable.
Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups).
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Knowledge of property-related VAT and CIS would be desirable.

Experience of Xero accounting software desirable.
