Role Seasonal Sports Content Technician ( Freelance/Subcontractor)

Locations: London (various), Manchester, Liverpool, Gloucester,Bristol, Portsmouth, Cheltenham, Northampton.

Payment: £140 daily rate(up to 12 hours) including daily travel expenses. Payable by invoiceon a monthly basis

C – Screens wasestablishedin 2014 with the main aim to help agencies and advertisers extend their linear TV campaigns into live outdoor AV environments delivering premium content. C-Screens prides itself on working with a range of different events, sites, landowners, venues & rights holders to deliver a fantastic customer experience to their visitors, through sport,filmsand entertainment.

This summer

We are excited tobring iconic sporting moments to audiences across premium outdoor locations using our giant pop-up screens and fan zones . Including coverage of the World Cup, Wimbledon, Olympics, Cricket, Golf and more.

Our Sports Content Technician s play a critical role in ensuring seamless content delivery, including managing ad breaks, ensuring smooth content delivery,monitoringlive feeds, and troubleshooting on-screen issues. They also act as an on-site representative, liaising with landowners, handling any location specific challenges, and capturing high-quality photos of our screens in action for post event reporting and marketing purposes.

Our team of Technicians will be enthusiastic, be able tothrive in live event environments , enjoy problem-solving, andbeeager to gain hands-on experience in the Out-Of-Home TV space .Theymust be comfortable working both independently and as part ofateam , taking initiative to ensure a high standard of delivery throughout the event.

Scope of work

  • Monitoring the screen to ensure the correct content is playing as per the weekly content schedules.
  • To ensure the advertising playlists are played around the live TV content where applicable.
  • Assistinginternal teams by capturing high-quality photos of the advertising campaigns, audiences and site for post-event reporting and marketing purposes.
  • Operate the C-Screens C-Player system to deliver advertising and live content, reporting any technical issues to the Tech team.
  • Liaising with the wider team to solve any ad-hoc issues on site.
  • Point of contact for any ad-hoc requests from landowners and checking in with the team regularly with live updates.
  • Assist with thelogisticsfor any client activation for experiential events that occur at the sites.

  • Ability to work independently & take initiative – Comfortable managing tasks alone while ensuring smooth operations at the screen.
  • Proactive & problem-solving mindset – Ability to quickly assess and address issues as they arise in a live event setting.
  • A passion for sports – A good understanding of the sporting calendar to enhance the live event experience.
  • Attention to detail – Ensuring smooth content transitions and high-quality reporting through photography.
  • Calm under pressure – Able to adapt and remain composed in a fast-paced live event environment.
  • Professional & presentable – Representing C-Screens in public spaces with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Punctual & eager to learn – A strong desireto contribute to the overall success of the event.
  • Basic technical understanding of AV systems – Experience with audio-visual technology is a plus, but training will be provided.
